Husqvarna’s open-class dual sport bike has high-end features such as WP suspension, CNC-machined triple clamps, titanium intake valves, and DLC-coated rocker arms inside the SOHC motor.
In fact, the 2016 Husqvarna FE 501 S S has just a few differences from the pure-enduro models, including a heavier crankshaft for improved traction, and suspension is calibrated for dual-sport riding. The rear shock, with dual compression damping adjustment has been reset this year.
Up front, there’s a new, lighter front axle, and CNC-machined triple clamps with a 22mm offset. Hard-core off-road riders will want to gear down the FE 501 S, as it comes with exceptionally high gearing from the Husqvarna factory. The clutch is also updated, losing three ounces in the process.
