2017 Yamaha Star Bolt R-Spec
If you like the concept of the Yamaha Star Bolt, but want something that’s still retro, but your taste runs more to the 1970s than the ’60s, the 2017 Yamaha Star Bolt R-Spec is the styling treatment you’re looking for—Yamaha calls it the Urban Performance Bobber look.
Using 12-spoke wheels and twin piggyback reservoir shocks, the Yamaha Star Bolt R-Spec bumps up the performance of the standard Bolt a bit thanks to improved rear suspension. It still has less than three inches in the back, but the action is a bit more sophisticated.
The price goes up $9 (yes, just nine bucks) for 2017, and for that the 2017 Yamaha Star Bolt R-Spec gets a brand new higher-capacity fuel tank that has no flange for a cleaner look.
In-town, the 2017 Yamaha Star Bolt R-Spec retains its credibility as a good performer that knows how to conquer urban obstacles while looking sharp.
