2024 GasGas TXT GP Lineup First Look [7 Fast Facts]

The GasGas trials bike lineup continues to evolve under the stewardship of Pierer Mobility AG, which also owns KTM, Husqvarna, and WP. Still made in Spain, despite Austrian ownership, the 2024 GasGas TXT GP 250 and GP 300 top-of-the-line trials bikes have several new features worth checking out.

2024 GasGas TXT GP 300 First Look

  1. A new Tech TJ3 shock is used. Surprisingly, WP suspension has yet to show up on GasGas trails bikes. However, that hasn’t stopped GasGas from improving the suspension. The new Tech TJ3 shock from Italy offers 24 clicks of compression and rebound adjustability, along with 10mm of spring preload adjustment. The shock reservoir gets a 25 percent volume increase. The TJ3 shock is matched with a Tech fork with a Kashima Coat on the legs.

  1. Akrapovič provides the exhaust system. Straight from Slovenia comes a high-end exhaust system for the 2024 TXT GP 250 and 300. The titanium head pipe drops over 12 ounces compared to the old header, and power is increased in the sweet spot of a trials bike powerband—2000 to 7000 rpm.
  1. New FIM-approved disc brakes make the GPs GP-ready, and safer. The discs are designed to eliminate finger injuries from minders when trying to save a bike from crashing.

  1. A new shift lever is designed to be more reliable. The tip is shorter to prevent mud buildup, which can hinder gear changes.
  1. High-end components found on the 2024 GasGas TXT GP 250 and GP 300 return. You’ll still find a Neken handlebar from France, Renthal grips from England, Braktec braking and clutch actuation systems from Spain, and Michelin Trial Competition X11 tires—tube-type front and tubeless radial rear.
